Metrónomo pc

Proposal: I use vstlive to play live with my synths and a keyboard with an integrated audio interface, which only has one stereo output. Could it be done so that the program uses one output and the metronome another?

You mean mono-mono out? (E.g.: left synth, right Metronome?)

I use a Komplete Kontrol and a Yamaha Modx, but I output it in stereo. I would like to be able to output the metronome through another output, since I send the stereo output through D.I. to the sound engineer. I use a translator in case I don’t explain myself well.

You can select mono outputs in connections.

Assign a mono channel like Left one for the main out, and create another out and connect to the right out.

You’ll have 2 independent mono outputs.

Now add a OUT channel in the mixer and route it to the first mono out.

Route the main out channel to the second mono out, and you’re done.

Cheers!

Hi, thanks, but I use sounds and sampler in stereo so I don’t want to take away a channel for the metronome.
Necesito dos mono (1estereo)y la claqueta aparte un saludo.

If you physically have only 1 stereo (2 mono) out, I don’t see how it is possible to have 3 channel out (1 stereo plus 1 mono)… you’ll need an external audio interface with multiple outputs (there are cheap ones with 4 outs).

Or on Mac you can aggregate 2 or more audio interfaces as one device but I’m not a Mac user so you’ll hav ero ask other people here that uses Mac.

Cheers, Ciro.

I use Windows, and I have another card that could do it. What I propose is feasible, so that in the next version they could add the metronome to another output other than the one you use, two sound cards or for example the one on the PC.

Not actually possible, only one sound card can use as io driver at once… only way you could try using ASIO4ALL Driver, create a virtual device aggregating 2 sound card.

But most likely you’ll have high latency unusable for VST instruments.

Ciao!

Hi @ciro1983811 that is the point,
@rafalacu even with OSX’s interface aggreation… It’s working but a pain in the *** … and I would higly un-recommend for live,low-latency usage
Under OSX… the core-audio is more flexible… but…
