Why is it not possible to create a mf-f dynamic? I can create a mp-mf or a mf-p, but when I try to enter a mf-f it only puts a mf there.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Using the latest update for Dorico 6 on Windows.
Dorico won’t create a combined dynamic where both halves are f or p – it requires one to have an f and one to have a p.
One way to create this would be to go to Library > Music Symbols, pick a dynamic that you’re not using (like ffff or fffff), and redefine it so that it contains mf-f. (This won’t play back correctly.) You could also enter mf on the beat and f with a prefix property of - a 32nd later, and then adjust things in Engrave.
