Microtonal accidental vanishing

Hi Everyone,

I’m trying to make a quarter flat on the highlighted note. However, when I try to do this, the system automatically changes back to 12-EDO and no accidental is made. The key is set to “atonal”.

How can I solve this?

Much appreciated!
Brandon

IIRC you must create a new key signature (in the new tonality).
See Changing the tonality system • Dorico Pro Help • Reader • Steinberg

Yeah, I already made a new atonal key signature.
I tried changing to C major, too.
Neither are retaining the 24-EDO or the accidental.

Inputting microtonal key signatures is something with absolutely no room for deviation from the instructions:

  1. (With nothing selected on the page) Select the 24-EDO tonality system from the dropdown in the right panel.
  2. Select a key signature from the section underneath.
  3. Drop the key signature into the score.
  4. Use microtonal accidentals.

Or

  1. Select something on the page where you want the key signature to apply
  2. Select the 24-EDO tonality system from the dropdown in the right panel.
  3. Type Shift-K open Enter.
  4. Use microtonal accidentals.

Awesome, thanks Pianoleo.
I didn’t drop the key signature into the score.
It works now.
Much appreciated!
