MIDI and keyboard both on iPad?

This is certainly a Dorico question, but more of an iPad question.

I would like to get my son set up on our iPad to use Dorico, but I’m a bit hung up on connections. Is there a way to do both MIDI keyboard and QWERTY keyboard at the same time? Does anyone here use it this way?

Yes, typically you can have both a MIDI keyboard and a QWERTY keyboard attached. For example, I have an iPad Air 4th gen. with an Apple Magic Keyboard attached, and can also attach my keyboard via Bluetooth MIDI adaptor – though because the Magic Keyboard doesn’t use the single port on the iPad, I could also connect a wired keyboard using the Camera Connection Kit that provides a means for class compliant USB devices to be connected.
