midi automation points for static CC value

Hi!

Is there any way to have Cubase (I’m on 10.5.20) write an automation point for the current status of any CC?
Let’s say I’m setting a midi controller to a certain static value, like CC11 (expression) for instance. Is there a way I can have Cubase write an automation for the current status of that CC?

Alternatively, is there any way to know what is the current value of any CC that hasn’t been automated yet?
