I’m working on a string arrangement, and the way I normally do it is to write the part for the entire section on one track using an ensemble patch, then copy the whole thing to different tracks for the individual sections, muting or deleting the MIDI data so that only the appropriate voice remains.
However, I’ve noticed that on some of my controller lanes, the little nodes that are usually boxes have turned to “x” symbols. Thankfully, the cc moves still apply to the remaining notes, but it seems like it might have something to do with the delete/muted notes. Does anybody know what this is about? I’ve never encountered it before.
