MIDI Channels change when Output Routing is changed for a set of MIDI tracks

Hi,

Oh, I see. This is a known and already reported issue.

This bug is present for every user.

Thanks for checking!

Any news on this subject?? It says “Solved” but not here….

Hi @PrinzNicolai, some weeks ago I got a message from Steinberg Support. This Bugfix is planned for the upcoming version Cubase 15. As a workaround I use Cubase 12, works fine to change a set of midi outs.

Hi @Maui2002 . Thanks for your info. Quite crazy of Steinberg having this issue for 4 years or something like that… But I have started to use Project Logical Edit for this as a work around…

I’m having this issue as well.

I would call this a bug, and in all fairness the fix should be made available to Cubase 14 users.

We should not have to spring for a paid upgrade to get this fix (even if we would almost certainly pay for the upgrade anyway).

Hi,

Cubase 15 has been released. And I can confirm, this fix is there.

Ha! What timing!

This is not solved yet in C15

Did your shift+alt click the output device? It works for me. I could change the output device as well as the channel for multiple selected.

Shift+alt click the output device now works in Cubase 15. But the Problem has been shifted to the Midi Input Device. Changing Midi Input Device on multiple tracks sets all Midi Output Channels to the same Value. This is new in Cubase 15.

What a bunch of amateurs :frowning:

No, the same problem when changing input device was there all along. Cubase 14.0.41 here.

I am sick and tired of basic functionality being broken, update after update, having to deal with BS time consuming workarounds and being expected to keep paying for updates that (hopefully!) fixes issues that shouldn’t have been allowed to become issues in the first place. It’s an ignorant and incredibly unprofessional business practice!

Hi,

This has been fixed in Cubase 15.
