MIDI Clock Double Speed

I recently upgraded to Cubase 10.5.20. This introduced some weird MIDI-Clock behavior.

I use the MIDI-Clock to sync external devices with Cubase (master). My settings did not change: Source set to “Internal Timecode”, Destination set to (in this case) my Roland MX-1. For testing-purposes this is the only destination. All other midi devices are plugged out to rule out something like a MIDI-Clock loop in my setup. The synchronization is very “uneven”; it starts at (what sounds about) the correct speed but quickly accelerates to about twice the correct speed and unevenly hops on at about that double speed +/- 10% I’d say.

Because my setup and settings did not change after the upgrade, I tried a fresh install of Cubase 10.0.50. All works perfectly fine. I tried both an upgrade and a fresh install of Cubase 10.5.20 which introduced the problem. I am clueless on how to fix this issue. Am I missing something or is this a software-bug?
