Midi controller recommendations 2019/2020

I am just getting started with Cubase Elements 10.5 and I want to buy a basic midi controller. I’ve seen that some types don’t work well with Cubase, so I am looking for recommendations.

What basic (budget) midi controllers are suitable for use with Cubase? I don’t need top-of-the-range stuff, just something that will integrate with Cubase on a basic level.

Ended up going with the Alesis V25. Working well for me so far, I would recommend it.
