My Donner DMK-25 MIDI controller keyboard sent a setup map into Cubase Elements 15 as soon as I connected it. However, the transport buttons, although correctly controlling the transport functions, are also being seen by Cubase as Note On messages. The screenshot shows the messages being sent to Cubase by the controller.
How can I stop Cubase adding Note messages to the transport controls?
If your controller is seen in Cubase as multiple MIDI devices, one of those MIDI devices might be for the transport buttons etc., and that should be excluded from “All MIDI Inputs” ports.
From the Studio menu, select “Studio Setup…”, then “MIDI Port Setup” and post a screenshot.
Here is the MIDI Port Setup. I am not sure what it shows. Oooh… hang on… I unticked the MIDI IN 2 boxes and it stopped playing MIDI notes from the transport controls. That seems to have solved it, though I’m not sure why. Thanks!
