Suddenly I have a 3-note MIDI dead zone. Notes F2, F#2, and G2. It was also the case for a while that the condensing toggle was responding to F2. Other apps and instruments work fine (so it’s not my controller). This happens with different playback templates. NOTE ENTRY still works, just not getting play thru.
What instrument and sound library?
Perhaps you’ve assigned MIDI keys to Dorico commands?
Checked that. When I deleted my key command for condensing (opt-cmd-c) and reinstated it that behavior stopped, but there was no MIDI shortcut assigned. And as a rule, I do not use controller keys for key commands.
Is there any way to get a text “dump” of all assigned key commands?
Probably what I would do is have a look at the keycommands_en.json file in ~/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Dorico 5 in a text editor and look for MIDI:.

That was it. Must have bumped some notes when I set the toggle layout transposition key command!
