Against my better judgement, I am exploring the midi device manager, and the creation of patch lists. I have managed to figure out how to make patch banks, organize them into folders and get individual patches working. What I am unsure about is how to switch patch banks from the channel inspector. If I do not use a ‘midi device’, I get two popup menu’s, one for bank and one for patch, both populated with a list of integers. If I use a ‘midi device’ I get the patch list for the bank currently associated with the midi channel I am using. Why are patch banks tied to midi channels? Why isn’t there just a second popup menu to select the bank?
