I am setting up a PreSonus FaderPort 16 with a 64bit version of Windows 7 and with both Cubase 6.5 and 7. My main problem is that when I move the FaderPort faders, the faders in Cubase don’t move. NB: When I move the soft faders with the mouse in Cubase, the FaderPort faders DO move.
The installation attempts all went as expected apart from one step. I.e. When I select either Mackie Control (1 or 2) or Mackie HUI (1 or 2), “mixer” mode is the only option. There is no “compatibility” option. Could this be the problem?
I’ve scoured YouTube including the PreSonus videos & these forums but really need some expert advice on how write automation.
