Midi does not sustain in full length and metronome not working

Hi all,

I reopen my project and during the playback, midi cuts short and does not play at full length. Sustain pedal is not being played. Metronome click is no longer working as well. I have check the CR and metronome is being activated.

The issue happened just after reopening the project. Nothing has been changed in the setting. Could you please help?

I’m using Cubase Pro 15.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi,

Isn’t it the Instrument polyphony issue. Haven’t you reached the maximum polyphony voices?

Could you attach a screenshot of the Studio > Audio Connections > Control Room, please?

And yet, the screenshot shows Sustain events. What happens if those events are deleted?

Hi Martin,

I tried to render the project, and the song plays normally without issue. It seems to me just the playback that did not work.

Also, I tried to switch ASIO Driver, weirdly, the issue only occured with audio interface. Is there any way to troubleshoot?

For the metronome, the issue also fixed when I switch to Steinberg built-in ASIO Driver.

Thank you!

Hi,

Could you attach a sample how does it sound while playback and how does it sound after the export, please?

Hi Martin, please find 2 recordings from the link below

Hi,

Thank you for the audio files. This is interesting!

 Could you try to reinstall the driver (ensure, you have downloaded the latest one available). Could you try to change the Buffer Size, maybe even the Sample Rate?

Hi Martin,

I have reinstalled the driver and it is already the latest version. Unfortunately, changing buffer size and sample rate did not solve the issue.

Additionally, I tried using my audio interface with other DAW, FL Studio. No playback issue and my audio interface works normally.

Do you have any recommendation to solve this issue? :face_in_clouds:
