MIDI Editor SHIFT-DOWN for 'down 1 octave' no longer works

Does anyone mind testing this for me? In the MIDI editor, select some notes and try shifting up and down with SHIFT-UP/DOWN.

SHIFT-UP does work for octave up still. I tried to find if it were accidentally mapped to something else, but no luck yet.

Thanks in advance.

I assume you’re on Cubase 15.0.06. I’m on Windows 11 here and shift + up or down arrow moves events up or down one octave.

Thanks. I think there’s a point-release that I haven’t done yet. I’ll try that.

Sometimes I’ve fixed weird glitches by deleting and rebuilding preference files, but I don’t really want to do this wholesale.. maybe just a key command file?

I’ll try updating first of course.

Well it wouldn’t need to be mapped to anything else. The Shift+down-arrow could have just become un-assigned to the octave shift function.

If you go into Key Commands & search for what Shift+down-arrow is assigned to, what does it say?

Weird, I did try finding it in key commands, but it’s described as “Add Up” Nothing assigned to Add Down.. so just for fun, I tried assigning Add Down and it works now.

Thanks everyone.

The key command is called “Add Up” in navigation. For me is works in key edit but has stopped working in the score editor (which is how I discovered the name you’re looking for). I’m using Cubase 15.0.2
