I like the new wave meters, which are a good visual aid. But now it seems redundant to me to see the same “normal” meters for MIDI that are shown in the fader section. It seems that a MIDI view quite similar to the part appearance in the project window could be displayed vertically in the meter section along-side the wave meters for audio. This would appear very much like a (thin) piano roll (real ones are vertical!). This would go a lot lot further towards a more complete mixer visual replacement for the project window overview.
