When adjusting the tempo of the track, the MIDI events don’t follow it, neither do the locator bars. Any obvious solution would be helpful.

Yes… look in the track inspector for the clock, click it to change it to the note icon.
Ah cool I see. Every new track I created was defaulting to linear. Or musical. I’m not sure which is which. Though the loop locators still dont keep in sync when changing tempo.
Look through the preferences dialog and you will find how to set to the opposite.
