In my workflow, there are some libraries that seem to work well with Dorico but may not be the final library I use in Cubase in the final project. I’m thinking it would be cool to have a filter menu on MIDI export where we could filter out certain qualities such as some of the humanizing features or corrective directions. I’m thinking of things like articulation delays, humanizing timings or expressions, etc. Doesn’t have to be a huge comprehensive list but might be nice so that the incoming MIDI to Cubase (or whatever DAW) would be in a mostly raw state but still potentially have have the MIDI CC information and possibly velocity info. Of course, we could include those as options to filter out as well if needed.
I’m aware that we could change the expression maps but that could be very time consuming for a large score and would not affect the relevant humanization settings within Dorico itself.
My two cents. Thoughts?
