I was given a MIDI file that was recorded with the tempo set at 120 bpm, and opens in the Cubase project at that tempo. The real performance tempo ranges ±52. Is there a way to match the Cubase project tempo to the performance tempo without changing the performance tempo?

If the MIDI/Instrument track is in the Musical Time Base then the MIDI data are following the project tempo.
