For the life of me I can’t figure this out. I thought the midi files used to be listed in the “project pool” but now I can’t find them. Where are the project midi files stored?
MIDI files are stored in the folder where you have them on your HDD. Recorded Cubase MIDI parts are saved in the project file until you export them to a MIDI file to your HDD.
Thanks thinking cap. My concern is I am having to transfer a backup project folder to a new hard drive. I want to make certain that the midi files recorded with that project are moved to the new drive. From what you are saying they are not stored in the “audio” folder under the project? They are stored somewhere else in the project (unless I export them to a file on my HDD)? Thanks again.
No, as the name implies, the “audio” folder is for audio.
If you simply back up the project file, and open the backup file, the MIDI parts will be in the project automatically.
