When I import a MIDI file, a window pops up and disappears too quickly for me to read it and no further dialogue appears. I suspect something got corrupted after using EasyABC to convert a file from ABC to MIDI and then importing it into Dorico.
Does this problem affect all MIDI files, or does it seem to be limited to one in particular?
Can you zip up one or more of the troublesome MIDI files and attach them here?
My goodness! You’re working on New Year’s Eve! When I restarted Dorico, it actually worked fine. This has happened a couple of times with other files.

That MIDI file opens OK for me, too. Was it the file picker to choose the MIDI file itself that didn’t open? If so, we’ve had a couple of other similar reports of the file chooser not appearing when you choose File > Open or type Command-O. This appears to have started happening from time to time in the most recent macOS Sequoia update. I’ve not seen it myself, but a couple of users have reported it. Dorico itself hasn’t changed, of course, so I suspect a bug of some kind in the latest OS update.
I guess that’s what it is.
