MIDI import translates single 1/32 notes to chords in Dorico for iPad

I’m having a problem with MIDI file import from Cubasis to Dorico for iPad (free version). A monophonic passage with 1/32 notes gets translated to chords, as shown. It’s quantised in Cubasis and there are no overlapping notes.

I know I could just fix it in Dorico, but haven’t been able to figure out how to do that.

The quantization value must be set to 1/32 notes in quantization options .

From the documentation:

The MIDI looks more like 16th triplets rather than 32th notes, though.

It’s not. Look at the grid settings and quantize settings at the top bar. Some other notes there are triplets/have triplet endings, but not those.

I apologise . You want this

Thanks, appreciate it. I tried to separate the notes in the chords and change them to 1/32 notes, but then the passage becomes even more messed up, and the notes play back with a weird super short staccato (without staccato written to them). And to complicate matters further, Dorico actually plays back the original passage (the one with the chords) as separate 1/32 notes; just like you wrote them. Added a video with that.

But it might be I’ve just come across some oddity with Dorico, and should just rewrite it, like you suggested.
