MIDI input to Cubase 5

Hi

I have installed Cubase 5 on a new laptop. Same windows version and upset as the old one, that is functioning ok.
Now I’ve got a problem. The Midi input does not show op in the MIDI Port Setup in the Device Setup box.
How do I get the input in?
