Which MIDI insert (if any) can filter out all notes other than the root note?
I imagine you can do it with the logic editor.
Or, destructively, dissolve the part by pitch and then delete all but the wanted track.
That’s what I would usually do, but I want it live, not post processed. Thanks anyway though.
To further clarify what i’m trying to do, it’s for playing mega-meta pads/synths live with different instruments playing different layers at different frequency bands using different octaves on each and further separated/controlled with the likes of note filter and density, but my issue is getting any monophonic parts, such as a bass layer to play monophonically and always play the root of the chord at my chosen octave.
