Midi inserts are not recorded

Hi

I have created a transformer preset in the MIDI Insert slot 1 on a midi track. This preset transform incoming ModWheel to Breath Control (CC1 to CC2). It works real-time but are not recorded, so when I open the Key-Editor there is a lot of CC1 but no CC2.
I’m aware of the little “record output to track” and it’s on, but it still doesn’t record the transformed CC’s.

How can I make that happen?

Very strange!.. that all looks correct to me, and it does indeed work as expected here.
The following shouldn’t be a factor, but (as a test,) try using a different instrument that doesn’t involve VSL
