Green light is ALWAYS on.
Using Komplete midi keyboard. Dorico 5.0. Apple MacBook Pro using Monterey.
Can not enter notes via keyboard. Keyboard works in Mashine and CuBase but NOT DORICO. System has been working for years until I dismantled everything and put everything back together. Important note - I can see the midi working when looking on the Halion Sonic screen. If I play the midi, I can see the key depressed on this screen. But when I am in Write mode and the carat is present, I can play and hear the note, but it won’t enter! Tried turning things on and off, but NOT note input
Please don’t post the same message in multiple locations. Not only does it waste the time of the Development Team who read every post, but (more important) it will split the responses to one’s questions between two locations, which is confusing and makes one’s question harder to answer than if everyone who approaches the task can read what has been said before.
I hope someone can solve your difficulty with the MIDI keyboard soon.
If the green light is always on, it sounds like you’re dealing with a “midi loop”. Searching that will garner some results for other people who have solved the problem.

Hi @Price_Hodson , welcome to the forum.
Please open the Dorico Preferences dialog and go to the Play tab and scroll pretty much down to the bottom. There are the Recording options and one is Filter out MIDI controllers. Try with that option ticked. Any better?
Sorry. First time on a forum and I don’t know what I am doing. I get it. Thank you!
Oh man! That fixed it! Ulf, you are the best! Thank you so much.
