MIDI Keyboard Quick controls?

Hello,

I’ve got a ‘Control 49’ Carillion midi keyboard with quick control nobs and slidey nobs etc…
My question is, how does one assign a vst instrument in CUBASE 6, for example ‘massive’, to a slider/nob to do certain things such as quick volume? Say if you wanted to control the volume of individual tracks using the Midi keyboard?
