Out of the blue, I’m experiencing notable latency when trying to play VSTi’s. Tried adjusting buffer settings with no change. Can’t find anything in device setup or preferences that points to the problem. I’m using a Presonus Firebox with MIDI connected thru SPDIF. Any ideas?
Are you sure you have the correct driver assigned in Cubase?
Have you also tried enabling constrain delay compensation?
Can you use MIDI via SPDIF???

Yeah. It’s a break-out cable with two audio & MIDI I/O. It’s messy. Cubase regularly loses the MIDI in & I have to go into the control panel to reconfigure. It only takes a minute or two but I have to close Cubase to do it.
This is a bit weird. When I pull up “constrain delay compensation” in the manual, it shows it on the project bar. But when I look at my project there is no such button. Anyone know why that would be?
It’s probably hidden, right mouse click in the area that it should appear in and select the elements you want displayed.
