Midi link from keyboard

I’ve lost the midi link from my Yamaha PSR500 keyboard to Cubase Elements 11 and can’t control VST instruments any more. Can anyone suggest reason or fixes? I’m using Windows 10 64bit

Few questions :

  • What is your audio interface ?
  • Could you make a screenshot of this page (Studio > Studio Setup > MIDI port setup panel) and post it here ?

  • Are there any MIDI messages received on a given MIDI/Instrument track with Monitor activated?

Can you remember how you had it setup?

I’m guessing that you probably had it setup as a Generic Remote entry in Studio Setup? In which case it’s. possible that you just need to reselect the PSR’s MIDI ports in that Generic Remote.

Edit: Sorry, I read this as you couldn’t control parameters. If it’s that instruments don’t respond to the note keys than as per @cubic13 post above ^.

Well, maybe it’s also a part of the problem. ‘MIDI link lost’ could be both, actually…
