MIDI Logical Editor bug: Note Range resets to G8 when set to D1 (Cubase 15.0.6)

Hello Steinberg team and users,

I think I found a bug in Cubase 15.0.6 related to the MIDI Logical Editor.

When I create a preset to delete notes and set a Note Range condition, the following happens:

  • In the MIDI Logical Editor, I set a condition like:

    • Type Is | Equal | Note

    • Value 1 (Pitch) | Inside Range | C0 – D1 (for example)

  • As soon as I confirm or reopen the preset, the upper note of the range changes automatically to G8, even if I explicitly set it to D1.

  • This happens consistently and makes it impossible to define a correct upper note limit for the range.

So basically, any time I set the range upper value to D1, it always jumps back to G8.

Thanks in advance,
I hope this can be fixed in a future update.

Hi,

This is a known and already reported issue. One thread is for example here.

Hi, I don't know about you but I'm having serious problems due to this bug. Hopefully a fix will be released soon.

Hi,

As a workaround (for now), you can use the MIDI Modifiers > Note Limit or Note Filter. It’s not on the Input side (so the MIDI Notes will be recorded), but it works for now, as a workaround.
