Fairly straight forward… All parts are selected. LE is set to “Controller” and “21” and we choose DELETE from the action menu. Nothing happens. This occurs with other CC values. This occurs when selecting individual parts.
If we select the controller and set the variable to “Selected” vs using the CC number, the DELETE function works correctly.
What is wrong with our process?
The answer…
It needs to be MIDI Controller Number (not value)
Midi Controller number is not even listen in my Logical Editor in the dropdown of options.
This is not a Logical Editor lol.
Pull your hair out Editor,yes.
I just want to remove all CC events in midi items because my vsti instruments play everything weird.
Reaper would be the best DAW for this function with all the SWS scripts it has.
Logical Editor is just too complicated to be usable I’m afraid.
Great idea but the menus don’t make any sense,it’s like it was made for advanced computer programmers, like a different language.
Why have Value 1 when it is supposed to be pitch.
And the corresponding commands are very much like computer programming.
Calling it a “Logical Editor” is,well, illogical.
I have recordings of midi drums where the Ekick drum is double triggering notes and it sounds like a random flam happening which is very annoying.
If Einstein,I guess the “Logical Editor” could fix this but being illogical,I would have no idea where to start.
Remember… there are TWO Logical Editors in the program. All MIDI functions are inside the MIDI Logical Editor (found in the midi menu)
I would be curious to see what percentage of posts on this forum are due to confusion about the difference between the Project Logical Editor and the Logical Editor. Steinberg really should rename the second one to “Midi Logical Editor” in order to avoid this issue.
Just a thought…
