vic_france , that path is right, and the presets should be copied there, if they areānt there already.
Cheers,
Mauri.

Thanks for chiming in, folks,
Iāve copied the contents from:
D:\Steinberg\Cubase 6\Presets\Logical Edit
to:
\Users<user name\AppData\Roam- ing\Steinberg\Cubase 6\Presets\Logical Edit\
The section is still grayed out. What am I missing here?
Why did Steinberg make this so complicated? It worked just fine in Cubase 4.
(I hope I am right about thisā¦ being a Mac guy , but)ā¦
Are you sure that there are no traces of Cubase 4 or 5 remaining on your system?
I would be amazed if your āClean Installā of Cubase 6 placed anything in those folders (I suspect they are there from previous versions of Cubaseā¦ a āclean installā of Cubase 6 wonāt delete Cubase 5 or Cubase 4 ).
On the other hand, it should have installed files in
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Cubase 6\Presets\Logical Edit
Yep. Completely new install on a brand new PC.
Why on earth would the Cubase 6 installer create those paths? (Iām not saying I donāt believe you )
What else is in "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Cubase 4" and C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Cubase 5"?
Hi Vic,
Very cool of you to be so helpful. Iāll take a look during lunch over here and post.
(I wonāt be able to check back in until later tonight anyways )
Please, any PC guys spot anything glaringly obvious already?
This is getting weird, this is what I have here:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 6_64\Presets\Logical Edit
And: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Cubase 4\Presets\Logical Edit
And again: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Cubase 5\Presets\Logical Edit
All the Logical Edit folders contain presetsā¦
I cannot for the life of me figure out, or remember, how thatās come about because Iāve reformatted C drive since C4 or C5 were released?? Perhaps by previously saving and trashing the preferences, or presets, then replacing them ?
Still, the bottom line is that all works fine here.
Mauri.
Hi. Just wanted to confirm that copying all files
from:
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 6\Presets\Logical Edit
To:
C:\Users{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 6_64\Presets\Logical Edit
followed by a restart of Cubase, did the trick. Now the [logical presets] is not greyed out anymore.
Thanx guys
And shame on Steinberg for this!
The solution is to copy all the folder from the presets folder in Program Files to the presets folder in AppData
In my case it was from C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 7.5\Presets to C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 7.5_64\Presets
Cubase 7.5.3 on Windows 7
All the best!
