midi mapping controls?

hope someone can help
I currently have a keyboard short cut to go to the left locator then I press space bar to play

I now have a akai mpd226 that has transport controls. is it possible to use the generic remote and assign the button to go to the left locator and play ?
a bit like how an mpc works when you press the play button it plays from the start of the loop. all I can see is away to map to transport and press play.

Hi,

You can make a Macro or of it and trigger this Macro by using Generic Remote Device.

But first explore the Transport menu (and folder on the Key Commands). Might be, there is shady a function “Okay from Left Locator”.
