Midi modifier ( probability)

I watched a youtube clip regarding the midimodifier long time ago. There was a function to limit the actual midi notes being heared from a midi sequence. Anyone who knows the name of this function? Lets say i have a bar with 1/16 notes and randomize it’s pitch. Is there a funktion which randomize the amount of notes being heared instead of hearing all of them?
