MIDI Modifiers Target specific notes

MIDI Modifiers in the MIDI inserts should be able to target specific notes. IE you apply POSITION variance to the hihat notes but not to the Kick.

Try using the Transform Insert instead. It’s the MIDI Insert version of the Logical Editor.

doesnt work. I forgot to mention that I have tried that with position and it is not an option in the “Action Target” for the transformer in the MIDI inserts. Try it.

Hi,
@raino don’t have to. It’s realtime.

If you want to make changes to the midi, that are visible in the Midi Clip, then you need to use a Midi Logical Editor.
Midi Inserts are always for making real time adjustments.

I know that Modifiers are real time the issue as stated already is that the inserts do not support position.

If this is what you need, why not use pitch?

From above.

“doesnt work. I forgot to mention that I have tried that with position and it is not an option in the “Action Target” for the transformer in the MIDI inserts. Try it.”

What exactly did you try though, can you show us? We already know that Position is not a filter.

I tried to have position vary with a modifier on just a specific note or notes instead of hard coding it with the midi part logical editor which would play it the same every time. That is the feature request.

From the copy above it seems most did not understand the ask. IE “Hi,
@raino don’t have to. It’s realtime.” or Joshua_Reiners : “If you want to make changes to the midi, that are visible in the Midi Clip, then you need to use a Midi Logical Editor.
Midi Inserts are always for making real time adjustments.” yes they are for making realtime adjustments which is exactly why I choose them… Been using Cubase since the Atari ST.

Neither of which addressed the simple ask of being able to have position as an option for Transform or in the MIDI modifiers insert.

The only alternative to waiting for this request to be fulfilled is to use an extra track for the notes that you want to vary in position. In case you didn’t already know.

yep, thank you.
