Midi not aligning with project - Periphery Wildfire Stems

Hello.
I am trying to do a follow along mix with Nolly for GGD on the Periphery song Wildfire using stems provided in the footnotes on the you tube video

However, when I import all of the files the midi drums (labeled as “kick” in the image) don’t align with the rest of the stems, like it is set at a different bpm. The song should be at 145 bpm and if I import the midi to cubase it the project auto gets set to 145. There is a audio track for the drums as well and that aligns fine, just not the midi version.

I have tried to just change the tempo of the rest of the project to match the midi but that turns out to be someplace between 133 and 134. Also the song sounds slower the the real song as well.

Is this some midi setting I have that is off? Is there an issue with the midi track provided?

When you mentioned that the song sounded slower, did you mean slower tempo, or did you mean the type of result you hear when audio gets played back at the wrong sample rate?

I don’t have Cubase open yet, but hit control + p to open the pool, and lets take a look at what the set tempo of each audio file is, and also, what the sample rates of the audio files are set to.

Post a screenshot of what your audio pool looks like, if you would, please.

Hi!

Here is a screen shot from my audio pool looks like all the audio tracks are set at 120.34. Which I find odd as I know the song is at 145 bpm.

I thought they would stretch to 145 when imported. Not really sure where to go from here. I can set the bpm to 120.34 but that doesnt look right either. Then the midi has the other problem and goes longer.

Set your audio device to 48k to match the project.
