This will be fixed in a future update. It’s fixed in Cubase 8.0.3.

Let me get this straight - So Nuendo can no longer record midi correctly?
I’ve just started running the N7 Trial version but have not yet got to test the Midi stuff.
if Midi doesn’t work N7 is useless to me.
Let’s hope they fix it in the upcoming bug-fix update which will hopefully appear before Christmas. 
This is fixed in N7.0.3.
