HI, anyone having issues with the midi key editor,
If I try to delete some notes, all are deleted, if I delete program change or volume etc, all midi notes deleted?
Just upgraded to 14, never been an issue before, did work okay for a couple of weeks, but now this.
Any ideas
Pete
Hi and welcome to the forum,
How do you select the Program Change, or Volume (I believe, you mean MIDI CC7 Main Volume)? Do you use the Object Selection tool or the Range Selection?
Been using Cuba’s for years, mainly for making my backing tracks. Then one day I highlight a couple of notes and it deletes all the midi, or I delete program change or volume controllers, and all midi notes go too.. gone back to using 13….
You simply repeated your initial post and did not respond to Martin’s question.
Hi,
Sorry
I go into the editor by double clicking the track, get it to display the cc7 or patch change with the drop down item selector at the bottom left, highlight it and press the delete key.
Best regards
Peter
Hi,
To me, it sounds like the focus is still in the Project area. So if you press the Delete Key, you remove the whole MIDI Part.
If you want to delete the MIDI Controller events, you have to select them first.
Hi,
I have been doing the same procedure for the past 5 years and now it doesn’t work, it deletes all the notes as well as the selected controller line, which is highlighted, and if I select, say 2 notes, all the other notes delete as well, even though they are not selected…..

Hi,
You simply repeated your posts again. Please, read my message.
You can also make a video screen recording, so we can see exactly what you are doing.
Hi,
Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?
Hi,
That means, something was corrupted in the defaults.xml file. You can Delete preferences from the Safe Start mode, to make the fix permanent.
Hi Martin.
Brilliant !!
Many thanks, sorry I didn’t explain myself that well.
Thanks for talking me through it and solving the problem..
Cheers
Pete
