This sounds like a newbee question but I’ve been using Cubase for years and I’m sure something has changed. It used to be that when I manually adjusted the length of a midi note in the midi editor the end of the note would snap to the quantize value (if quantize was on). A few months ago that changed and the end no longer snaps. Is there a setting somewhere that turns that off and on?
Thanks for any help.
The Snap On/Off setting.
The Quantize value affects the cursor snap–the Length Quantize value controls what increment is used to increase or decrease the length of the note.
Make sure your settings for Snap Type and Length are right, and it should work.

Thanks. Yes I have Snap on and it’s set to grid but when dragging the note ends do not snap to the quantize value.
Are they snapping to anything?
If I zoom way in they do snap to a very fine increment, possibly 64th or 128th notes. But I have quantize set to 8th notes.
Ah! I figured it out! There’s a separeate parameter called length quantize which I didn’t have showing in the editor tool bar. But when I show that I can see it somehow got set to 128! Setting that to quarter notes or 8th notes and the ends snap as expect.
I’m glad you got it working
I guess I should have written some of my comment in all caps ![]()
Yes you were right, thanks. I just didn’t quite get what you meant because I didn’t have snap length showing on the tool bar.
