MIDI note selection after insert....

Just moved to 8.5 and inserting MIDI in the key editor or drum editor previously (v8.0.35 and before) would have the last inserted note (inserted with the drawing tool) selected (i.e. - shoot to the info bar and change a value quickly). Now there is nothing selected and the note needs to be selected prior to changing data. Workflow!!!

Is there a preference setting for that?

Hi,

There is no preference for this. But now, you can change the data while you are inserting it (even by double-click with the Object Selection tool). With the modifiers, you can change the Velocity, Pitch, Position and the Length.

I figured it had something to do with the new insert behaviors. I’ll need to learn to use them.
