# Midi notes hanging

Hi all, playing with my Kawai MP5 all midi notes are constantly hanging. Seems that they don’t get a note-off signal but the do (at least in Snoize). I am using a MacBook Pro M4, Cubase 14.

Midi recording with garage band works well and w/o problems.

What is it?

Did you update to Giolden Gate - it introduced this for some users/keyboards - They just updated C15 with a fix. No idea if 14 will see the fix as they already released the supposed last maintenance update for it.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I updated to Golden Gate and (some time) before it worked well (no midi note hanger). So it’s seems to be a combination from Golden Gate and Cubase 14? Seems there is no other way but update to 15. If you know another workaround, please let me know.

Note that an upgrade to 15 bought now would probably get you to C16 as it’s usually released in early November and grace period is typically a month, maybe that makes the forced upgrade pill a little easier to swallow. Please don’t hold me liable if they change their usual release schedule though…waiting for announcement is the only way to be 100% sure - But there’s a good chance it will release in the next two weeks.
