Hi all,
I did a piece using HALION with the TRIP synth which I would like to develop further. But all I get as MIDI out is the keys I pressed, not ie. the sequences used. Before trying to decode that manually: is there a better way?
Like MIDI Export?
Thanks.
I’d imagine the sequence you hear is a single audio loop. Halion is a sampler after all.
Unfortunately the internal Arp has no midi output capability when Trip is being used in Halion Sonic. If you have the paid version of Halion you can record the output of the arp into a temporary internal buffer and then drag’n’drop the content of that buffer into the project. Looks like this, you can find the same in Retrologue:

If you have a special factory preset of which you need the midi I could possibly help you.
Thanks for the hint, will give it a try.
Hi,
I tried that, but the dropped midi sequence does only contain the arp sequence, in fact thats what you wrote. I wanted to midi-out all of the played notes after the arp, so I press C and get the arp’ed sequence like C-D-F-G, and that’s what I wanted to get as the midi.
Any other idea?
Can you give me the name of an example preset?
