I’ve been in a bit of conundrum for a couple days. The MIDI Input/Output menu on MIDI/Instrument tracks has the ports all disorganized.
Apparently, this is because the Hardware MIDI Patchbay I use - iConnectivity MioXL - organizes ports in a particular way.
Enabling the option in Studio Setup… ‘Use Device WinRT MIDI’ fixed the sort issue, but unfortunately was causing complete lockup freeze crashes. So that is now disabled, and I’m back to disorganized ports in the MIDI/Instrument track input/output selection menus.
My Feature Request
Is for there to be an option in Studio Setup…/MIDI Ports, “Sort Track Input/Output Menu Based on ‘Show As’ Names”
But perhaps this won’t be needed as new MIDI Services integration/SDK is compiled into Cubase.
