I use cubase 7 in windows 7. I am trying to make a midifile with bass and drums only. Drums are working perfect on channel 10. But when i record the bass from halion se on various channels it sounds piano everywhere.Only piano. What am i doing wrong?
Assuming you are using a usb connected keyboard to record the midi…
Try recording your drums on an instument track. Assign a vst instument and drum sound to that track. Then record on another instrument track for your bass. Assign another instance of a vst instrument bass sound to that track.
Keyboard must be set to “local off”.
