MIDI recording question: stop creating longer midi blocks?

hi,

for the life of me, I cant seem to find the setting (if there is one) that will make cubase 6.5 stop extending the ‘midi bar’ after I am done recording. I would just like it to stop and leave space open in the edit window when there is no midi information.

Not the biggest issue in the world, but if anyone knows how to alter this I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

It’s quite simple (once you know it): Set your left and right locators to the region you want to record, and that’s what length the ‘MIDI bar’ will be.
