No sound in the video and it’s not necessary anyhow to showcase the issue.
I’ve recently run into this issue where the MIDI I record is placed several bars behind the intended spot I wanted to place the MIDI event. It makes the workflow frustrating and it doesn’t seem to be affected by toggling ASIO Latency Compensation. The MIDI is being registered without latency, its just being placed in the wrong spot. This doesn’t happen in Ableton Standard 11, so it must be something with how Cubase communicates with my MIDI keyboard. Would love to hear how to fix it. Many thanks in advance.
I’m using the latest update for Cubase 13. My M-Audio Hammer 88 is going through my Focusrite USB audio interface. If there’s any more information I can provide that can help diagnose, please feel free to let me know.
Have you tried to connect your master keyboard directly to your computer via USB?
In order to rule out corrupted preferences, please press Ctrl(Cmd)/Alt/Shift simultaneously right after launching Cubase and pick the option to temporarily start Cubase with preferenes disabled.

I’m unable to connect my master keyboard via USB as I broke part of the USB Type-A port on my M-Audio Hammer 88 by accidentally yanking the cord out at an angle.
After launching with preferences disabled, it still showed the same weird MIDI recording several bars behind. Cubase did this with different tracks across different projects, even if the project was new and blank.
