Hello everyone
After a lot of research, I was so happy to have been able to understand a bit how to use the Quick Controls with TouchOSC, so I could send the CCs back to my XY pad on iPad, and thus see on the CC11 / CC1 levels update on the XY pad according to the automation lane.
BUT … to my dismay, now that I’ve bothered to replace the MIDI CC automation lanes with Quick Controls, when I record to update the expression / dynamics data, I find that as soon as I stop moving the pointer on my XY pad, it stops recording data and so instead of staying at the level where I stopped it, it resumes at the level of the old curve.
Where, of course, when I was simply recording midi CC automation lanes (with the same XY pad), if I stopped moving the pointer, as long as I hadn’t pressed STOP, the current CC level continued to be recorded on the last level pointed to by my finger!
And that … that won’t do!
Unless it’s not advisable to use the quick controls for this, and you also need to keep the midi CC automation lanes recorded? What a gas factory!
Does anyone have any ideas or advice?
Many thanks in advance!
In the curve above in red, the places I’d like to have corrected with a regular downward curve, but it only works if I make a continuous movement. If I stop touching the control surface for 1 second, it stops sending data and returns to the previous level.
