I just wondered if there was any news on an update to this. Looking on Git Hub this is still at version 1.1. Much was said about what a great new feature this was at Cubase 12. Many of the posts on this are around 2022 so I thought it worth putting in a new query. There are code stubs in the existing framework which I understand from developers remain not fully implemented.
Many Thanks
Hi,
The API got updated with the release of Cubase 14. Lots of new methods to be tried. My understanding is that it is yet to be fully tested and documented but some devices already take advantage of them.
I expect things to move with tge release of 14.0.20 and Nuendo this month.
Well thats good news. I couldn’t see anything new in GitHub but that is mostly documentation and sample code etc… I guess this is a version 1.2 or 2.0 then.
Many thanks
Don’t know i there’s a change of version number. I track the difference by comparing the midiremote_api_v1.js file with the older one (make a copy before installing updates).
@Martin.Jirsak
Can anyone tell me where the actual.js or other code for the midi remote api itself is stored. Can’t see it anywhere on the GitHub repositary - so do all those items referenced in the midi remote api documentation exist with their methods etc within a specific code file - separate from any manufacturer specific implementation of them. Or is the API only available to end users as some form of compiled code rather than as source code files?
Sorry if this is a daft question.
Many thanks
