Using cubase 15 and have 5 controllers that I have setup to use midi remote.. here the list of devices:
Mcu pro
Mcu extender
Komplete kontrol mk3
Nektar cs 12
Arturia keylab mk3
The mcu pro & extender is and using a script from Bojoluc which works well. I setup each individual controller with script installed in correct patch xubase/local/ i forget the full path but in the correct location. Im able to setup all controller there take time tho each reboot to populate when I open midi remote tab in the lower zone.. periodically I lose connection with mcu pro and nektar cs12.. i though by using the remote script that I would bypass and port conflict. Mcu pro and nektar cs12 both have mackie ports 1 thru 4 that and I believe Komplete kontrol and arturia keylab mk3 use port 2.. how can I configure to have them all work together when needed. Thank you
so perhaps it could be a problem of insufficient power supply to the equipment (they do not have to turn off for this)

I mass on a studio computer, with Windows. I have some old drivers, 2 BCF 2000 and a Frontier alphatrack.
the frontier must be connected after starting the system.
one of the BCFs does not connect to Cubase although the system recognizes it. Both are connected by a small USB hub (I already tried them directly to the MB and the same thing happens)
conclusion in that particular case? the system itself is perhaps too old already, or something stupid with Windows.
I am using CS12 on Mac. 0 problems with the drive itself. It hasn’t ever connected, but restarting fixes the problem, and it is connected directly to the mac.
Usb c connection for Arturia keylab mk3, Komplete kontrol mk3 and Nektar cs 12 I wil check the power management in the device manager later today to see if anything changed.. could it be a midi port issue with midi remote setup?
I think im going to delete removed them from the folder reboot launch again see if the install again if not put the folder back the setup each controller one at a time
Sorry im on windows 11 and both nektar cs12 and mcu pro uses the same midi ports 1-4 I was under the impression midi remote was different the mackie protocol
Are those port numbers in the script, or someplace else?

Which build/version of Windows 11 are you on? Trying to make sure there’s no MIDI bug here. You can see the version in Windows Settings > System > About
Most MCU’s today are based on USB. The original is not. And with USB the unit create it’s own midi ports baed on USB standard for MIDI.
MCU’s can use cubase built-drivers or a community midi-remote script. However this will require some manipulation to get in to a collision. And a disconnect is more likely to be a USB problem that anything else. CS12 can be used on USB power. I don’t think there is any MCU that can do that. Can you feed the CS12 with external power?
I don’t really have a bead on what is actually happening here, and what “disconnecting” means in this context. Not sure if this is a Cubase/script-specific issue, or if one or more of the devices are actually losing their USB connection, or just their MIDI ports, or something else.

If it’s script or cubase-specific (IOW, all the devices work simultaneously with another DAW, or with a simple app like Pocket MIDI) then this Steinberg forum is the right place for the discussion to continue.
Hi Pete yes I went over to the discord channel and trying out a few things now my devices keep disconnecting mackie mcu pro and nektar cs 12 both arturia keylab mk3 and Komplete kontrol mk3 stay connected..
I think i figured it out alot was on my end.. Komplete kontrol mk3 remote script I had to edit it had a space in between the vendor name Native instruments. That fixed that issue on why it would dissappear, problem i believe i caused when I setup my old mcu pro i had 2 extender at the time and sold one and when I added back ro my console I plugged the extender into port 4 and i think that was cause headache with script that was made.. i did a recovery fix for the updates i un installed months back when I was having problems that being said i believe im good for now since I devices were disconnecting almost instantly when I loaded a project into cubase..
