Hi,
Im pretty new to Cubase and trying to save mappings for my AKAI MPK Mk2 keyboard. Have tried the official method and suggestions found online and researched but cannot get the mappings to Import successfully.
I have kept it simple, exported with default name and renamed, just mapped a couple of pads, also added additional Mapped Page, but nothing seems to work.
Is this a known a bug, if not any ideas where likely going wrong?
thanks for any guidance.
Hi,
Could you describe the steps and where did you stop?
Maybe could you make a video screen recording?
Hi,
I assigned eg a transport control to the 1st pad in bank A via the ‘MIDI Remote Mapping Assistant’, Applied, (it apeared in the Mappings list as Global Mapping). It was then shown in the main MIDI Remote window.
Then in the ‘MIDI Remote manager’, Script Tab, exported the Script, renaming uniquely the beginning of default name “Akai_MPK mini mk2.midiremote” (saving to default folder:
..\Documents\Steinberg\Cubase\MIDI Remote\User Settings\ )
Then I removed the mapping (r click, remove mapping) and imported it back in:
again scripts tab, Import Script selected the saved file above, open, overwrite existing (confirmed: ..\Documents\Steinberg\Cubase\MIDI Remote\Driver scrips\local\akai\mpkmini_mk2 )
the mapping did NOT reappear as i would have expected, it remained blank in the MIDI Remote.
